The Armed Services YMCA Volunteer Department supports volunteer programs and services for active duty military and their families. Volunteer participation is crucial to the success of these programs and the ASYMCA is always searching for dynamic, dedicated and dependable volunteers. ASYMCA Volunteers must complete a multi-step application process including an orientation. Certain volunteer opportunities require potential volunteers to complete a background check, fingerprinting, health screening and HIPAA training. Our devoted volunteers come from all walks of life and offer a variety of different skill sets in support of the ASYMCA mission to enhance the lives of active duty military and their families.

REQUIREMENTS for Hospital Volunteer Program

• Commit to a minimum of 100 hours of service per year
• At least 18 years old
• US Citizenship
• Application/Emergency Contact Information
• Background Check/Fingerprinting
• Health Screening
• HIPAA Training
• Volunteer Agreement/Code of Ethics
